Zurich Syariah Provides Tourists with Digital Halal Lifestyle Guide, to Support Rapidly Growing Halal Tourism

Jakarta, January 26, 2023 – PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) introduces Direktori Halal Trip, a digital sharia directory that offers maps and travel guides for both domestic and international travel. Zurich Sharia has collaborated with WE+ (WEPLUS), in developing this digital service. Direktori Halal Trip will help Muslim travelers find halal and important places more easily, including halal restaurants, the nearest mosques, hospitals, Indonesian embassies, and emergency services.

This innovation is to meet the needs of customers as the trend for halal travel increases. The results of a survey conducted by Zurich Syariah in 2022 show that public awareness of halal tourism has increased significantly over the last three years - with 77% of Muslim tourists prioritizing halal needs in their travel destinations. These halal needs include information on halal food, ease of access to places of worship, as well as halal tourist spots.
