Zurich and Danamon Launch Insurance Package for SMEs to Protect Business Assets and Employees’ Health

Jakarta, August 2022 -- PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk (ZAI) has announced Edhi Tjahja Negara as the President Director of ZAI which has been officially approved by shareholders and regulators. Edhi succeeds Hassan Abdul Karim who moved to a new leadership role in Zurich in Asia Pacific.

Chris Bendl, President Commissioner of ZAI and Country Head for Zurich Indonesia said, “We are pleased to bring such a strong leader into the Zurich Indonesia family and are very confident that Edhi’s experience will be valuable to us in strengthening our position as the insurance company of choice in Indonesia.” Edhi has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and a strong background in senior distribution roles at leading financial services companies in Indonesia. These include Maybank Indonesia, Bank Permata and mostly recently HSBC Indonesia whereas the Director of Wealth & Personal Banking, he was responsible for client relationships management, retail branches, and sales.

Edhi’s experience has led to a strong network and deep understanding of distribution strategy in Indonesia, as well as direct experience in leading organizations that are going through change and digitization.
